- It is a very simple and lightweight module to display quotes, tips or any kind of random information. No database table needed or created.
- On the backend there are 2 text areas to fill. One for the quotes,tips or whatever text you want to display randomly and the the other one for the CSS to format the text you are displaying. (CSS box is optional)
- Module displays each row from your text as a single quote. Use NOTEPAD to create your rows.
- There is a sample text and CSS code in the zip folder. This is a simple brain teaser.

There is a sample shipped with the module.
When you download the zip file from http://joomlacode.org/gf/project/randomanything/frs/, unzip it in your local computer.
The sample is in the README text file.
Styling can be done from the admin page of the module.

doesn’t work on my side.
it takes a random line, but just the first time – then it’s always the same line. tried to type the lines manually in the backend, copy+paste out of notepad – bad luck..
caching problem. turn off cache and try again.
Can you use it to show random images with text?
You can use div class and ids. So it gives you the freedom to show anything randomly. Use image and text instead of just text, also use CSS for some makeup.
e.g.
<div class="random_image_with_text"><div class="random_image"><img src="image1.jpg"></div><div class="random_text">text for the image 1</div></div>Just deployed your module to a development site with three straplines in it which I pasted in from Notepad (about 30 words or so per quote). Quite often no quote at all shows up (just blank space and Iv’e checked the source code, nothing there).
Could this be something in my source text or what could be causing this?
Make sure there is no space/line before or after your quotes

In the *.zip file, there’s a README.TXT with default css. But this css doesn’t have attributes for the “class=question”.

Hi, I found your module in the Joomla Extensions and it says version 1.1 updated on Jan 31, 2010. I downloaded the module and it says version 0.1 with the date being Jul 30, 2009. Did I download the wrong file?
